Welcome to Island Farm

23rd August 2007

A visit to Island Farm in August 2007 was a miserable experience, with the only remaining building, Hut 9 totally obscured by trees, grass and shrubbery. The fence is still in place thankfully, but access to view the building is impossible. It was not possible to take photographs of Hut 9  this visit, maybe later on in the year when the winter comes. Below are some of the photographs I did take.

The pile of rubble above as what is left of the smashed huts and roads that ran throughout the camp. One big pile of history. This can be viewed on the aerial picture here. This set of photographs were taken at a location near the perimeter. They show the remains of one of the smaller buildings, as yet unidentified.
